Sustainable Conservation Finance – Lessons Learnt and challenges for the Future
Sustainable financial mechanisms are key for long term biodiversity protection and this is the bottleneck of most projects in the biodiversity field. The objective of this event is to present case studies showing the progress achieved by financial mechanisms adopted for natural resource management schemes worldwide and to identify the main challenges for the future. Key representatives of the environmental sector will present their experiences with financial instruments and the effects of these for biodiversity protection and for the sustainable development of the regions
